Franz Herrlein has more than 30 years of international professional experience, most of the time in top management positions.

He was an associate partner at Boston Consulting in Munich and Milan and a partner at Bain in Munich.

 

In addition, among others, COO and member of the  Board of Directors of Dresdner Bank AG in Frankfurt, Chief Integration Officer and member of Board of Directors of Unicredit in Milan, global CFO Infrastructure and member of the Group Operating Committee at Deutsche Bank AG in London and CFO and member of the Board of Directors of BHF Bank AG in Frankfurt. 

 

Together with his wife Manuela, he founded the HR consultancy Alpine One in 2016, which, thanks to its combination of psychology and business administration, was able to win well-known, international clients within a very short time. In 2021, Alpine One was awarded first place twice at the international Stevie Awards, and in 2022 with five further international awards, including Franz personally as Entrepreneur of the Year in the area of Leadership Advisory in the DACH region. Since 2023 Alpine One is partner of Boyden, one of the leading international executive search firms with offices in more than 45 countries.

 

Franz Herrlein studied in Frankfurt am Main and Vienna and has a master's degree in business administration, a master's degree in communication and business psychology and is a certified systemic coach and consultant. 

 

He is also a member of various advisory boards and supervisory boards, for example in the service, fashion, hospitality, asset management and banking sectors in Germany.

In addition since 2023 Franz is a Global Senior Advisor to UBS Group, Zurich.

 

Having been a multiple times participant in German track and field championships in his youth , Franz is now active in his Bavarian homeland as a skier, mountaineer and climber.
